Our little girl is one - for real this time!

Izzy's dry run a couple of weeks ago paid off as we celebrated her birthday for real on Saturday. This time family and a few friends stopped by to help Izzy blow out the candle. The weather god smiled sweetly on us as the morning rain finally subsided with literally minutes to spare. I was  driving home in a torrential downpour 30 minutes before the party was to start and seriously considered calling Tiffany to cancel the pool party. Turns out Tiffany was quietly praying all morning for the rain to stop... Isabelle enjoyed all of her current favorites; balloons, swimming, bubbles and food.

Isabelle enjoyed her Birthday cake, (well the frosting on cake). She attempted to be ladylike and eat the sprinkles (hundreds-and-thousands for our UK readers) one by one. She soon gave up on that idea:

All in all Isabelle had a terrific birthday. Thanks to all those who sent cards/gifts.

It's crazy when we see how much she's grown in the last year and how she's an integral part of our family that we can hardly imagine a time without this beautiful girl in our lives. Happy Birthday IzzWhiz!
