Christmas Traditions

If you know anything about our little family it's that we always start the Christmas season with this. It's been around a long time, but if you haven't heard it, you have to listen to the whole thing.

Go Utes

Our Elders Quorum President asked if we wouldn't mind hosting the Utah / BYU game for an activity (think Norwich vs. Ipswich, England vs. Germany, UC vs. Xavier). This was a strictly partisan event, there was no room for fence sitters (except for me, of course).

Everyone brought some sort of snack including Blue cookies, kool aid, chips and Raspberry Jello in the shape of a Y.

Red strawberry cider (for the victory), red vines and Red velvet cake .

There was a good turn out and a good time was had by all... especially the Ute fans who got to go home with their head held high with their team winning 48-24.

Dinner for 9

For the last two years we have received some gift certificates to a very fancy restaurant in Cincinnati from my company. We've made it a bit of a tradition to go with Tiffany's family around Thanksgiving/ Christmas.

Part of the meal was this treat, a single grape cut in half, to cleanse the pallet. Complete with Crème fraîche and some sort of reduction (to be honest could you reduce this course any further?).

The whole family, sans Paul and Debbie (catch ya in 2011!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Are you getting the wrong Idea about Izzy?

Ok, so I'm starting to feel a little guilty that you might be left with the wrong impression of Isabelle (based on my last two youtube video's anyway). Isabelle is such a sweet girl and to prove it here's a video we took on Tiffany's phone on the plane to Phoenix (more on that later). My bag ended up at the back of the plane so we had to wait until everyone got off before we could collect it. Isabelle must've said "Bye" to just about everyone who left the plane. Here's just a short section but she just kept going and going! Can anyone say Flight Attendant material?

Halloween, aka Monkeying around

We're back from our month off! We've been busy with a lot of things and have a lot to blog about so don't go to far...

First off, Halloween. This year was the first year that Izzy could appreciate the simple pleasure of roaming around the neighborhood collecting free candy. Izzy nearly didn't make it out due to a nasty cold but we slipped into Ryan and Tracy's neighborhood (we don't have neighbors) for a little candy collecting.

Izzy was a monkey this year and loved her Elmo candy bag.

At first Izzy couldn't figure out why people kept putting stuff in her bag and pulled it out to give it back, it didn't take her long to figure it out though.

Izzy, ever eager to grow up, loves to push her stoller more than to sit in it.

Which is the cause of this little outburst.
*Disclaimer: We're a pretty good judge of cries of pain and outbursts when not getting her way. This is definitely the latter.

Tiffany and Isabelle enjoying the loot.
