IzzaBOW
It's been brought to our attention that certain family members have begun to call our sweet daughter "IzzaBOW". Granted, she does wear bows a lot, in fact the guy in the passport office did say "how old is he?" until he noticed the pink shirt she was wearing in her passport picture. Now, we're not the kind of parents to make a fuss, so the bows are the easiest way to keep everyone straight. And, you can't say she doesn't look cute! Thanks Auntie Sharese for this one!

What a man...
Valentine's Day. Yes it's true, some call it a "Hallmark holiday". That didn't stop Michael from showering his two girls with love. He left treats on the front door step (roses and chocolate covered strawberries for mom, and a baby rose plant for Izzy). Such a sweetheart!
She (like I) will continue to expect this for years to come. Here is Isabelle smelling her beautiful flowers!
For the past 7 years, Michael and I have made a nice tradition of getting carry-out for Valentine's Day. It is nice not to fight the crowds and spend a quiet evening in. We put Isabelle to bed and waited for our cheesecake to be delivered (quite the service I know!). All of you Stephanie Meyer fans eat your heart out. I must say my husband scored high points for reading 2 chapters of Eclipse to me with his dreamy English accent. Hmm, do you think Edward could pull that off? Anyway, the whole day was a simple reminder of how lucky I was to be married to such a wonderful man!
Portrait of an Infant
Over this past month Isabelle has really started to show us her own identity and personality. We now know the following about our darling daughter:
1. She hates sleeping, especially if there is something (anything!) going on around her.
2. She doesn't need sleep to be happy or content during the day (unlike her parents!)
3. She is as stubborn as a mule. I wonder where she gets that from??
4. She loves going to Toter Otterville and playing in the balls with her cousins.
5. She loves it when family comes to visit (especially her Uncle Jay who came to visit this past month).
6. She LOVES food and if you don't feed her fast enough she gets VERY grumpy. I have never seen a child make so many noises while eating any type of food. It's almost embarrassing.
We are in the process of applying for Izzy's passport for our visit to England in May. Don't you love her mug shot? Her passport will be valid for 5 years and it's funny to think that she will still be using this passport picture when she is close to 6 years old!
Do you like her newest trick? I think she has figured out that it feels different to do this while having teeth. What a stinker!
