Sleeping in the crib - kinda

After one too many comfortable sleeps like this in our bed:

We have finally run out of excuses for not having Isabelle sleep in her own crib, which she hates! She now has to sleep in the crib from bedtime ~10:30p.m. until around 6:00 a.m. As she wakes up every 30 minutes to an hour Tiffany and I have chosen to do shifts. Hopefully it will not take long for her to get accustom to her crib (fingers crossed).

Still Swimming

Quick one this week. We are still enjoying unseasonably warm days so we are still able to get in the pool. It's a good way to tire Isabelle out. She even fell asleep in the pool one day (in the pics). On the way home from the pool her headband fell in front of her eyes. She didn't seem to mind!

We're back!

We took a couple of weeks off as we have been recovering from a family cold (me first, Isabelle, then Tiffany). No-one felt like smiling much (most importantly Isabelle). We pulled the camera out again this week for some "Bumbo fun". Isabelle likes to think she's a big girl especially when she sits in her Bumbo. a special chair for infants that lets them sit up safely. On the upside Isabelle is smiling very frequently. She can recognize [mummy's/mommy's] voice and when Tiffany calls for her from another room she puts on a big cheesy smile. I am feverishly trying to have the same effect to marginal success. Whilst she was sick she really wanted to be held when she slept. She now thinks she belongs in our bed and refuses to sleep in her [crib/cot]. On the downside, Izzy had to get four shots on her checkup this week, she didn't enjoy that very much. She now weighs 11lb 2oz and has grown to 23 inches. She's growing faster that we care to admit but has quite the little personality already.

Missing Auntie Lucia

Isabelle loved Auntie Lucia's new Ugg boots so much that Auntie Tricia had to get Isabelle a pair of her own!





This is Isabelle's favorite song because it reminds her of when Lucia was here.
