Swimming and Fun

It's been a couple of weeks since the last post. We took Isabelle swimming for the first time. When she first got in she wasn't sure what to think of it but soon she was enjoying the experience. Dad is really hoping for a water baby so he has an excuse to go swimming!




We have been getting some good smiles out of Isabelle lately (and they are not all gas)!

Aunt Lucia came to visit Isabelle for a couple of weeks. Isabelle loved having her comfort her in the car and Tiffany appreciated the extra pair of hands so that she could take a long shower! We all (Isabelle especially) have missed her since she left on Tuesday.

She sometimes cries

I think that a blog like this often gives the false impression that you have the perfect family who live the perfect life. I don't make much mention of the hours at night that we pace the floor rocking Isabelle to sleep or the times when she cries seemingly without reason. So to dispel any doubt I want to make sure you know that she cries!

Blessing Day

Yesterday was Isabelle's blessing at church. Isabelle, of course, looked beautiful in her dress. As we got Isabelle ready for church she gave me a big cheesy smile. Call it what you will but, to me, that was her approval of us on this special day.

Isabelle - First Day Church

We decided to take Isabelle to church for the first time today. To make it extra special we put her in the same dress that Tiffany wore on her first Sunday to church. This dress is, of course, special to Tiffany as she was blessed in it. Isabelle will be blessed in church next week. We were relieved when Isabelle made it though church without getting spit-up on the dress!

Isabelle - 4 Weeks

Isabelle will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. They say it takes 21 days to create a habit and we are certainly in the habit of having Isabelle in our home. It's already strange to think of life before we had her.

The highlight of the week was Isabelle's Uncle Tyler coming home from his 2-year missionary assignment in Russia. He arrived at 1:00 A.M. in the morning into Cincinnati Airport after being delayed in New York for 6 hours. Of course being up at that time didn't phase the Gattuso family.
